Lucca is an ancient city located in the Italian region of Tuscany. It has many names, it is "city of churches", and "city of towers", and "city of art", and "opera capital". They all justify themselves. Indeed, Lucca to this day has perfectly preserved its ancient buildings, moreover, it is one of the few cities in which the ancient fortress walls surrounding the historic part of the city are fully preserved. The city is also home to such world-famous cultural figures as composer Giacomo Puccini and violinist and composer Niccolo Paganini. Among the most noteworthy attractions: the Cathedral of San Martino, the old gate to the city of Porta San Pietro, the Clock Tower, the Church of San Michele in Foro, the Market Square ... And lovers of antiques should know that Lucca - the birthplace of one of the best antique markets in all of Italy.
