Common description

The small Italian region of Molise is located on the Adriatic coast in the central-southern part of the country. This region is not called a mass tourist destination, but this nuance is for many more a plus than a minus: the lack of crowds of tourists allows you to feel more sharply the true spirit of provincial Italy. In addition, the local beaches, given the same lack of a large number of tourists, can boast of cleanliness and comfort. The capital of the region - Campobasso, a typical medieval town with narrow streets and many ancient monuments. On the territory of Molise there are also medieval hamlets and villages, well-preserved castles and monasteries, ancient ruins.
Molise has a well-developed agriculture, so local cuisine can offer excellent cheeses, dairy products, vegetables, olive oil and wine made from local grapes.
The region can be attractive from a health and health point of view, because in its territory there are several thermal resorts (Termoli, Marina di Montenero, Petacciato and Lido di Campomarino).
