Common description

Pisa is located in the Italian region of Tuscany, 10 km from the Ligurian Sea. Of course, for the vast majority, Pisa is associated with the famous “leaning” Leaning Tower of Pisa. This is the real symbol of the city, every year it attracts more and more tourists. The tower was built in the XII century, and, due to the peculiarities of the soil and foundation, it began to slope even during the construction. Now she, along with the other elements of the “Square of Miracles” - the cathedral, baptistery and cemetery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Looking at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, it is not at all surprising that Pisa is the hometown of the famous astronomer physicist Galileo Galilei. Yes, yes, the one who violated all existing laws, openly declaring that the Earth revolves around the Sun. Thus, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, frozen in the eternity of fall, destroys the laws.

Of course, Pisa is not only a tower, there is something to see besides the Square of Miracles. As in any other medieval town, many buildings of cultural interest have been preserved here. These are palaces, churches, galleries, museums (among which the museum of ancient ships is of particular interest), and much more. If you want to know what, go to Pisa and see for yourself!
